ISTANBUL – Today โmarks the โ14th anniversary of the death of Kaลif Kozinoฤlu, a former Turkish intelligence operative (MฤฐT)โ who died ofโ a heart โฃattack in โคMarmaraโ Prison on November 12, 2011, just days before his scheduled release. Kozinoฤluโค had been arrested in connection โขwith the alleged FETO-linked “Ergenekon” conspiracy. Posthumously publishedโ notes from his detention, compiled by journalist Ergรผn Gedek as “Secrets That โExplorer Kozinoฤlu Did Not take โto the Grave,” reveal his stark assessments โคof regionalโค geopolitics, notably concerning Israel’s long-term strategy in Northern Iraq.
Kozinoฤlu’s writings, recently resurfaced by Odatv.com, allege โคIsrael has exerted control over Northern Iraqโค since the 1960s. He wrote, “Israelโฃ has โtaken control of Northern Iraq โคsince the 1960s!” โฃand cautionedโ that โฃIsrael “should be watched closely,” asserting a missile shield would not deter โฃits ambitions.
The notes alsoโ contain critical observations about Israel’s relationship with the โฃUnited States, claiming Israel has even โข”challenged the United Statesโค when necessary.” Kozinoฤlu further alleged theโ existence โof Israeli influence within Turkey’sโ Southeast and โขBlack Sea โregions, suggesting scrutiny of prominent Istanbul businessmen linkedโฃ to Masonic andโค Rotary organizations during economic downturns.
beyond Israel,โค Kozinoฤlu expressed distrust of Western powers, specifically โthe United Kingdom andโฃ the United States, accusing โthem of exploitative imperial tactics. He claimed theโฃ UK utilizes โaโ deceptive public image while pursuing self-interest, and questioned the possibility of genuine alliance with imperialโฃ powers, stating, “They use you and leave youโฃ behind.” He also suggested the US and UKโ could have influenced the โUN report on the Mavi Marmara incident if they had theโ will.
