TANNER, Ala. (WAFF) – The North Alabama Airfest is drawing crowds this weekend at Pryor Field regional Airport with a showcase of aerial demonstrations and family-friendly activities.
The two-day airshow features military demonstrations, high-speed fly-bys, helicopter and airplane rides, exotic car rides, and static displays. Vendors are also on-site.
Attendees can experience performances from some of the nation’s top pilots and view a variety of unique aircraft. Organizers say the event provides both entertainment and networking opportunities for the local aerospace and aviation industries.
“It’s growing. It’s expanding exponentially.I believe between aerospace and aviation, locally, it’s going to continue to grow and flourish,” said Adam crow, an Aviation Instructor at Calhoun Community College.
Crow also noted the positive developments at Pryor Field, stating, “Here at Pryor Field, they’re doing a great job of expansion and offering new opportunities for new industry partners and personnel to come here.”
The Airfest continues on sunday, with gates opening at 11 a.m.and the show beginning at 1 p.m.
