lidl Expands Bulgarian Footprint with New Shumen Store
Shumen, Bulgaria – Lidl Bulgaria officially โขopened its third store in Shumen today, located at 54 Rishki Prohod Blvd. The new facility brings LidlS total store count in Bulgaria to 140, spanning 59 cities nationwide.
The investment in the Shumen store totals BGN 14 million. Lidl emphasizes the store’s construction adheres to the latest technological and environmental standards, prioritizing energy efficiency and a reduced ecological footprint. Features include an energy management system with automatic temperature and lighting controls,and refrigerated display cases utilizing an environmentally amiable refrigerant.
This Shumen location is the first within the city to incorporate six self-service checkouts, accepting โฃboth card and cash payments with employee assistance. All โฃprice tags are electronic, allowing staff to focus on customer service. The store boasts a โ1400 sq. m. sales area, โฃa 135-space โฃparking lot, and a charging station forโ electric vehicles.
