South African lottery players eagerly awaited the results of Wednesday’s draws for Lotto, Lotto Plus 1, and Lotto Plus 2, with jackpots totaling over R35 million. The winning numbers were revealed shortly after 20:56 SA time, offering a potential life-changing windfall for those holding the lucky tickets.

The Lotto draw yielded the numbers 06, 13, 22, 36, 50, and 56, with 28 serving as the bonus ball. Lotto Plus 1 saw the numbers 04, 05, 09, 21, 35, and 57 drawn, accompanied by a bonus ball of 24. Completing the evening’s draws, Lotto Plus 2 presented the numbers 01, 11, 15, 17, 20, and 47, with 33 as the bonus ball.

The estimated jackpots for the draws were R34 million for Lotto, R500,000 for Lotto Plus 1, and R6.5 million for Lotto Plus 2. These figures represent the potential payouts for matching all six numbers in each respective game.

Players can verify their tickets against the official results on the National Lottery website, national-lottery.co.za. Ithuba Holdings, the operator of the National Lottery, encourages players to check their tickets carefully, as winners of R50,000 or more are eligible for free trauma counseling and financial advice.

The National Lottery offers multiple avenues for ticket purchase, including participating retailers, the National Lottery website, the National Lottery Mobile App, and select banks – FNB, ABSA, Nedbank, Standard Bank, Capitec, TymeBank, and African Bank. USSD access is likewise available by dialing 1207529#.

Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2 offer players additional opportunities to win by adding R2.50 per board to their initial Lotto ticket purchase. These games operate on the same principles as Lotto, with identical odds but typically slightly lower prize amounts. Lotto Plus 1 was introduced in 2003, while Lotto Plus 2 began in 2017.

The draws accept place every Wednesday and Saturday at 20:56 on SABC 2. Ticket sales at retail outlets close at 20:30 on the day of the draw. Participation is limited to individuals 18 years of age or older.

The National Lottery also offers Daily Lotto, with draws occurring every day. PowerBall and PowerBall Plus draws take place on Tuesdays, and Fridays.
