Taipei, July 21 (CNA) – The Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW) launched a dedicated account Monday to accept private donations for disaster relief efforts following Typhoon Danas.
The ministry announced that individuals can contribute through several channels. For domestic monetary transfers,donations can be made to the 財團法人賑災基金會 (Taiwan Foundation for Disaster Relief) at 土地銀行長春分行 (Land Bank of Taiwan Changchuen Branch),account number 102-005-19896-5. overseas donors can use the same account number, with the bank address listed as No. 156 changchuen Road, Taipei 104, Taiwan (ROC), and the SWIFT Code: LBOTTWTP102.
Donations can also be made via LinePay by selecting the “donation” button and choosing the “2025 Typhoon Danas Fundraising Program” (114年丹娜絲風災募款專案). Additionally, contributions are accepted at major convenience store chains. Customers can select the “2025 Typhoon Danas Fundraising Program” on self-service kiosks at 7-Eleven (iBon), FamilyMart (FamiPort), Hi-Life (Life-ET), or OKmart (OK.go), print a payment slip, and pay at the counter.
The donation account will remain open until August 20, according to the MOHW. Funds raised will be allocated to disaster relief,emergency medical aid,shelter and resettlement,and post-disaster recovery initiatives.
Typhoon Danas made landfall on July 6 in chiayi County’s Budai Township, subsequently weakening to a tropical storm the following day. The typhoon substantially impacted central and southern Taiwan, leading to widespread power outages, water supply disruptions, property damage, and flooding.
