Expanded Social Payments: A new basic social assistance project launches this month, targeting vulnerable populations including single mothers, low-income families, large families, and those affected by parental alimony evasion. Payments will be individually determined, with maximum amounts of 4,500 UAH per authorized family representative (for each minor child and persons with disabilities of the first or second group) and 3,150 UAH for family members over 18. The allowance is initially granted for six months, with potential for a two-year extension, but excludes those residing abroad or in occupied territories.
Power Grid Standardization: Ukraine is transitioning to a 230-volt standard, aligning with the European energy system (previously 220 volts). This change is designed to facilitate synchronization with Europe and will not impact household appliances or electricity costs.
Enhanced Vehicle Inspections: New regulations for mandatory technical vehicle control come into effect, requiring photo and video documentation at all inspection points (minimum two cameras per station). This aims to reduce fraudulent inspections and align Ukrainian standards with European norms. Inspections remain mandatory for vehicles used for commercial purposes.
