Singer Zlata Ognevich admitted that in 2015 she almost committed suicide. IN interview She told Slava Demin that the trigger was some circumstances in her life and a prolonged depression, from which Zlata did not see a way out.

– This is a difficult topic. I cannot tell you in full what exactly happened, what was the reason. When a person has thoughts of suicide, it does not happen overnight. What leads to this is first mild depression, a very serious psychological state at zero, and then your system, which feels like it is slowly dying. And then the brain itself gave me the idea that if everything was already done, then this was the only way. Get rid of inner pain, torment of the soul. This thought came to me quite often at that moment. It’s just that the trigger was a person and some circumstances in life,” the performer clarified.

Luckily, things didn’t go as planned that day due to the medications that weren’t very effective. The next morning, Ognevich came to her senses and realized the mistake she had made, for which she repeatedly asked for forgiveness.

– It seems to me that it was not me, but some other person. Now I would never do something like that. I probably just didn’t have enough pills. I remember waking up at night and being upset that I couldn’t sleep as I had planned. Fall asleep and that’s it. Damn, what do you need to have in your head to go buy yourself pills? – Zlata said. – I woke up in the morning. The pills were probably like tranquilizers. That is, they calmed my system, but did not completely turn me off. And in such a comatose state I realized what stupidity I had almost committed. I will never forget this day. I went outside, it was sunny, there were already leaves. I touched these leaves and thought: “Oh my God! I would never see or feel this again..”. I talked to the tree, asked him for forgiveness, then the Universe, cried…

According to Zlata, in order to get rid of severe depression, she sought help from a psychotherapist.

– This [была] internal pain. I had such a dislike for myself at that moment that it reached the point of hatred. And this entity that hated me decided to kill me. That’s how fierce hatred it was. What I just didn’t say to myself inside. After that, I went on vacation to heal myself. I sat by the ocean and cried too. I talked to everyone around me and asked for forgiveness. After that I realized that life is a gift. We have no right to take it away from us in this way. There are a lot of people to whom life has not given the fate that I have. How dare I even think about this. After this incident, I simply thank you for everything that happens in my life,” Ognevich shared.

The artist emphasized that none of her relatives knew about her suicide attempt, and her mother eventually guessed after reading her post on social networks.

– No one from my family knew, what are you… No one. I never admitted this. I probably did something cruel by writing a post on Instagram. And from this post my mother found out, but again… We didn’t discuss this with her. It hurts her to talk about it, and I somehow softened the whole story for her and got out of it. But mom will watch this interview, and I’m just waiting for her call. I was not ready to talk about this topic then. It was difficult for me to even raise the issue during psychotherapy; I was ashamed. I seem to be a normal, healthy girl, everything is fine with me, and why is this? Why do this and what pain will it bring to loved ones? In fact, I won’t care, but my loved ones will suffer,” the star concluded.
