Czech Music Legend Vladimรญrโข Miลกรญk to โbe Inducted intoโ Czechโ Nightingale Hall of Fame
Prague, Czechโ Republic -โฃ November 14, 2024 – Celebrated singer โคand composer Vladimรญr Miลกรญk will be inducted into the Hall of โขFame โof โthe Czech Nightingale awards during a live broadcast on Novaโค TV, November 21st, organizers โขannounced Tuesday. Miลกรญk joins previous Hall of Fame โinductees Jiลรญ Suchรฉ, Vรกclav Neckรกล, and Marta Kubiลกovรก.
The โ78-year-oldโฃ musician, whose โhealth has limited his โmobility and โability to play guitar in recent years, last โฃperformed live five years โขago. A recording of a โค2019 concert was released this October and may represent his final performance. โฃ
“I would like to thank all the musicians who โคhave ever played with me. itโฃ was an amazing time – concerts and records. I am actually very pleased inside. One of my friends said thatโ it is indeed critically important toโค cheer โคup,entertain and move,and that is what I have always tried.Live music is exciting and I โฃam glad that my audience โคwas also very receptive,” Miลกรญk stated.
MiลกรญkS recent work has focused โฃonโข studio recordings, notably his collaborations with Petr Ostrouchov. Their 2019 album jednรบ te potkรกm earned six Andฤl awards, andโข was critically acclaimed. This partnership continued with Noฤnรญ obraz in 2021 and Vteลiny, mฤsรญce a roky in 2023, the latter winning two Andฤl awards includingโ Album of the Year.
The Czech Nightingale gala willโค feature performances by Vรกclav Noid Bรกrta โwith Dymytry, Monika Absolonovรก, Richard Krajฤo, Ben Cristovao, Dara Rolins, O5 & Radeฤek, ฤechomor, Lenka Dusilovรก, drupi,โฃ and Lucie. Marta Jandovรก, Milan Peroutka,โ and Felix โSlovรกฤek โขJr. will pay tribute to the late Anna Julia Slovรกฤkovรก.
Voting for the main categories – maleโ singer,femaleโฃ singer,musical group,and hip hop & rap – concluded November 9th.โฃ The gala โwill also reveal the winner of the “Discovery โof the Year”โ award, with nominees includingโข ล imon Opp,โ Renne Dang, Mat213, โฃand Jamaron.
Last โyear’s winners included Sofian Medjmedj (Discovery of the Year),Calin (Hip Hop & Rap),kabรกt (Group of the Year),Marek Ztracenรฝ (Singer of the Year),andโค Ewa Farna (Singer of โขthe Year and Absolute Nightingale).
The Czech nightingale poll originated in โค1962 โas the “Golden Nightingale” โฃorganized by Mladรฝ svฤt magazine. TV Novaโฃ currentlyโข owns the rights to the awards.
