Browns’ Schwesinger Faces Setback After High Ankle Sprain

by Dr. Michael Lee – Health Editor November 7, 2025
written by Dr. Michael Lee – Health Editor

Browns Linebacker Carson Schwesinger foregoes Bye Week to Focus on Injury Recovery

CLEVELAND,OH – November 7,2025 – Cleveland Browns rookie linebacker ⁢Carson Schwesinger is using the team’s bye week ‍to rehabilitate an undisclosed injury, opting to remain in ⁤Cleveland rather than join teammates‌ on their time ‌off. The decision underscores Schwesinger’s commitment to returning to the field at full strength.

Schwesinger, selected 33rd overall in the second round⁢ of the draft, had ‌been playing at a Defensive Rookie of the Year caliber before the injury. He currently leads the Browns with⁢ 60 tackles, ranking third among all NFL⁣ rookies. He ‍is the only rookie this season to achieve at least 15 tackles, one sack, and‌ one interception.

The linebacker’s impact extends beyond statistics; he has quickly become a defensive leader, earning the responsibility of wearing ‌the “green dot” ⁣- the helmet communication device for receiving play calls.

“It’s ‍football,” Schwesinger said. “There’s‌ nothing besides it’s just football. I mean, that’s what’s going to happen when you’re playing.”

The Browns have depth at linebacker with veterans ‌Devin Bush Jr. (57 tackles) and⁣ Jerome Baker Jr., as well‌ as ‍third-year pro Mohamoud ‌Diabate and rookie Easton⁣ Mascarenas-Arnold. Defensive Coordinator Jim Schwartz⁤ expressed confidence in the team’s options and Schwesinger’s eventual return.

“We have a lot of different ways that we can go with it and, you know, we’ll practice that way and just see where it lands,” Schwartz said. “But, yeah, ‍Carson means a ⁤lot to us, not just from ‍his play – but also his communication and, you know, things like that. And I ⁣think he’s also stepping in with ⁢some leadership things. ⁢…⁣ we’ll get him back on the ⁢field. Whether⁣ it’s this week,⁢ next week after, whatever it is indeed,‍ I think you’ll continue to see a lot of those same positives from him.”

This marks Schwesinger’s first meaningful injury ‍during his football career, having previously avoided such setbacks at UCLA. He emphasized the importance ⁢of a careful recovery process.

“Oh, definitely,”⁢ Schwesinger said. “I think there’s no ‍time when you want to step on the field‍ when you can’t go and be out there to help the team. So ⁣there’s never a ‍point to push it if ⁢I’m ⁤not going to be⁣ at my best.”

Will Meg White show up?

by Julia Evans – Entertainment Editor November 7, 2025
written by Julia Evans – Entertainment Editor

LOS ANGELES – all ‍eyes are on Meg White as the White Stripes prepare to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of‌ Fame Saturday night, with ‌speculation swirling⁣ around whether the famously reclusive ⁣drummer will join ⁣Jack White ‌onstage. The induction ceremony, streaming live on Disney+, marks a significant moment for the duo who abruptly ⁣ended‍ the White‌ Stripes in 2011, and raises the question of whether a rare public appearance from Meg is in the cards.

The White Stripes’ unique sound and minimalist aesthetic‍ captivated audiences in the early 2000s, but their ⁣breakup was equally defined by‌ its quiet finality. While Jack White has continued a prolific solo career⁣ and⁣ frequently performs White ⁢Stripes⁣ songs, Meg ⁣has largely remained out of the public eye. ‍Her role in ⁢the⁢ band’s success, however, has been increasingly recognized as foundational to Jack White’s creative freedom. As musician Alison ‌Case recently told the Detroit⁤ News, “Meg was like the canvas‍ that permitted everything ⁤on the stage to breathe…she could stay with the plan; she wasn’t interested⁢ in controlling the situation.”

Case’s ‌comments underscore a key element of the band’s⁢ dynamic: Meg’s ‌willingness to support Jack’s vision.”Jack⁢ had a plan; ⁤he really understood how he wanted ‍to present ⁤the⁣ band, and ‍he ⁣needed the freedom to be able to do what he wanted to do. And Meg,I think, was a really foundational aspect of that,” Case saeid.⁣ “She was just the perfect person for the job.”⁤ While ⁣Jack White⁣ is expected to⁤ deliver ‌the induction speech, the possibility ‍of a performance – and Meg’s participation in it – remains unconfirmed.

The rock &⁣ Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony begins‍ at 8 p.m.⁣ Saturday at Peacock Theater in Los ⁣angeles.

Cowboys Trade Rumors: Jones Says Team Has Deal Ahead of Deadline

by Priya Shah – Business Editor November 4, 2025
written by Priya Shah – Business Editor

Cowboys Already Have Trade in Place, Jerry Jones Reveals

FRISCO, TX‌ – Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones announced ⁣Monday the team has already completed ‍one trade and is possibly pursuing up too two more before‌ the NFL trade⁣ deadline on⁣ Tuesday.⁤ Jones indicated ⁤the acquired player will be an immediate contributor, addressing current team weaknesses.

“Instantly ‌it will have them‌ on the field and it will address some of the things that have been our shortcomings,” Jones ‌said, according ‍to The⁤ Dallas Morning News. He⁤ did not ⁣disclose the player’s identity.

The ⁣Cowboys’ need for defensive ‌reinforcements is acute. Currently 3-4-1, Dallas ranks last in the ⁣NFC in both total defense and points allowed‍ heading into their⁣ Week 9 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals on “Monday Night football.” This defensive struggle ‌is⁣ a primary driver behind the team’s reported aggressive ⁣approach to the trade market.

Jones’ comments come after ⁢recent radio ‌appearances where he discussed the Cowboys’ strategy leading⁢ up to ⁣the deadline. Though, the owner’s history of prematurely announcing deals – notably a past situation involving edge rusher⁢ Micah Parsons – ‌adds a degree of uncertainty.⁤

The outcome of‌ Jones’ stated intentions will be known ‌within 24 hours.
