Arizona Cardinals Partner with Phoenix Nonprofit for Native American Heritage night Fundraiser
The Arizona Cardinals are teaming up with United Natives, a Phoenix-based nonprofit, for a ticket fundraiser tied to the team’s November 19th game against the Houston Texans. Proceeds from ticket sales through a dedicated link will be donated to United Natives, supporting their programs aimed at providing aid adn enrichment opportunities to Native communities.
As 2020, united Natives has distributed $1.5 million in aid to Native communities across Arizona and 25 othre states. The organization offers free telehealth services, youth sports camps – including locations in Flagstaff – and other outreach initiatives. This fundraiser marks the first official ticketing collaboration between the Cardinals and United Natives, though the team previously provided funding last year for sports equipment for an all-Native girls team in Northern Arizona, contributing over $200 per participant.
“We were able to donate over $200 per kid thanks to the Arizona Cardinals,” said Tennalle John, Dinรฉ and Executive Director of United Natives. “The mission alone is that we’re trying to offer a healing service for our communities while also promoting youth enrichment and access to sports in general.”
Cardinals vice President of Community Relations, Sandra Lee, expressed optimism about the partnership’s potential. “this is more of a starting initiative that could grow into something much larger in the future,” she stated.
United Natives hopes to expand the event into a larger Native American Heritage night, potentially including special merchandise, a pre-game field walk, and a non-profit booth at the stadium.
