A woman in brazil allegedlyโ tested poisonโ onโ dogs before fatally lacing โฃher โฃstep-father’s stew, police say. Michele Paiva da Silva, 41, and Ana Paula Veloso,โ 38, are accused in the death of Neil Paiva,โค 68, who died on April 26 at theโฃ Adao Pereira Nunes Municipal Hospital. Authorities allege da Silva hired Veloso to carry out the โmurder and attempted to cover it up โฃby staging a separate โขpoisoning incident.
The โcaseโ has shocked authorities โขwhoโข discovered Veloso โคallegedly attempted to frame another โindividual and โฃhad previously โexperimented โฃwith toxins on animals โto determine a lethal dosage.”Anaโฃ Paula Veloso came to our police station because of an alleged poisoned โcake inside a college. She planted this alleged poisoned โcake โto try to frame a third person,” the police chief stated. “Through this investigation, we โconcluded that Ana Paula was not the victim in this case, butโค ratherโฃ a serial killer.”
Investigators believe Veloso initially attempted toโ appear as a victim โฃherself, reporting a โseparate poisoning attempt โคto deflect suspicion. however, the investigation revealedโข inconsistencies and ultimately led to theโฃ revelation of the alleged plotโฃ to kill Neil Paiva. Policeโ accuse Veloso of meticulouslyโค calculating the correct amount of โpoison, reportedly using dogs as test subjects.
Neil Paiva’s body is set to be โขexhumed for further forensic testing asโ the investigation continues. Both da โSilva and Veloso are currentlyโ in custody, facing โcharges related to the murder and attempted obstruction of justice. The motiveโ for the killing remains underโข investigation.
