Yamaha has updated the XTZ 250 model for the Brazilian market, rebranding it as the Yamaha Lander 250. The motorcycle features a 249cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder SOHC engine producing 21 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 20.5 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, paired with a five-speed gearbox.
The 2026 iteration of the Lander 250 introduces a recent “Atacama Brown” color option, available with red, black, or orange graphics. Existing color schemes – Titanium Grey, Racing Blue, and Amazon Green – will also continue to be offered.
A key upgrade is the inclusion of an LCD instrument panel with Bluetooth connectivity via the Yamaha Y-Connect app. This allows riders to access features such as call and message notifications, and parking location tracking.
The Lander 250 maintains a focus on off-road capability with 220mm of front suspension travel and 204mm of rear suspension travel. Braking is provided by a 245mm front disc brake and a 203mm rear disc brake, equipped with a single-channel ABS system. The motorcycle rides on spoked wheels fitted with 80/90-21 front and 120/80-18 rear tires.
In Brazil, the 2026 Yamaha XTZ250 (Lander 250) is priced at 29,290 reais, which is approximately 4,750 euros. Yamaha plans to market this model in other countries across Latin America and Asia, but it will not be available in Europe.
The Lander 250 was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in 2025, signaling Yamaha’s intent to expand its presence in the Indian market, according to reports from the 2025 Auto Expo.
