Bio Aloeโค Plantโ in Caigua Poisedโ toโ meet Half ofโ Anzoรกtegui‘s Aloe Vera Demand
Caigua, Anzoรกtegui – A processing plant in the indigenous community of Caigua, located in the Simรณn Bolรญvar โmunicipality, is rapidly scaling up production of aloe vera gel and powder, aiming to supply 50% of the demand within Anzoรกtegui state and eventually tap into national and international โmarkets.
Currently processing over two tons ofโข aloe veraโฃ daily, โขBio Aloe, a chemical consortium โขin partnership with the regional government, is working towards a โฃtarget of ten tons per โday. The plant, boasting over 7 square meters of construction, was recently reactivated afterโ a period of โขinactivity.
The company is focused on expanding aloe vera cultivation, with plans to reach 70 hectares โฃplanted with Aloe barbadensis โขmiller. Currently,30 productive hectares are located in the โคEl Hatilloโ community,Peรฑalver municipality, serving as the source for seedlings used to expand planting efforts. Fourโข hectares adjacent to the plantโข areโฃ currently being prepared for cultivation, โคand โBio Aloeโข is providing financial supportโข to encourage participation from local โproducers.
“We are growing, processing, and transforming aloe vera hear into an export-quality raw material,” stated Walter Sรกnchez, presidentโ of Bioโข Aloe. Initial export destinations are expected to be Europeanโฃ markets.
Bio Aloe is โthe secondโข aloeโ vera processing plant in Venezuela,โข but the โคfirst to utilize a spray dry process. โThis technology โallows for the production of โขhigh-quality aloe vera powder with optimal concentrations of active components. The plant currently produces 2X, 5X, 20X, Intav gel, and 100X powder – key ingredients for a wide range of products โฃincludingโข facial and body creams, shampoos, soaps, sunscreens, and burn treatments.
The processing involves six stages: receptionโ of the raw material, corticating (peeling), pulping, grinding, filtering, and final packaging.
Rudy Cedeรฑo, chemical engineer and laboratoryโ supervisor at Bio Aloe, emphasized the versatility of โคaloe vera, noting its applications in both the medical โand oil industries. He highlighted the use of their gel inโ products likeโ aloe veraโฃ suppositories for feminine care, and the intav product for the oil sector.
Theโฃ expansion of Bio Aloe is expected toโฃ generate employmentโ and provideโ a โขsignificant boost โto the local and regional economy,โ establishing Caigua as a keyโ hub for aloe vera production in Venezuela.
