Macedonian National Theater Launches “Acting Europeโ – Theatre Without Borders” Festival in Kjustendil
Kjustendil, Bulgaria – the Macedonian โฃNational Theatre (MNT) inauguratedโ the inaugural “Acting Europe – Theatre without Borders” festival today, September 19, 2024, in โฃKjustendil, Bulgaria, marking a meaningful step toward strengthened cultural exchange โขbetween Balkan nations. Theโ festival aims too โcultivate new partnerships and collaborative opportunities within the performing arts.
This new festival arrives at a pivotal moment โขfor cross-border artistic initiatives, fostering dialog and understandingโข through theatrical performance. Supported by โขthe European Union, the event seeks to โคbreak down barriers and promote a โคshared European identity, impacting โขartistsโค and audiences across Bulgaria and North Macedonia. The festival’s success will pave the way for future editions and perhaps inspire similar cultural collaborations throughout theโ region.
The festival is held underโ the patronage of the European Union, with support from theโ European โCommission Depictionโค in Bulgaria, the Municipality of Kjustendil, and the Union of Artists in Bulgaria.
Theโฃ MNT’s participation is facilitated by the Ministry ofโค Local Self-Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, operating within the framework โof the cross-border cooperation program between North Macedoniaโค and Bulgaria.
