WWE Rawโ Absent fromโข netflix Top 10 Amid ‘Stranger Things‘ Surge
WWE Raw was not featured in Netflix‘s global top 10 English-language shows for the week of November 24,โ marking the first time the wrestling programme has been excluded โfromโ the ranking since its debut on the streaming platform. Theโฃ omission isn’t indicative of declining โคviewership, but rather a result of the highly anticipated release of Stranger Things Season 5.
This marks a significant, though likely temporary, โshift in โฃNetflix’s viewing data. The inclusion of WWE โคRaw on Netflix โฃis a key componentโข of the company’s strategy to broaden its sports entertainment offerings andโ attract a wider audience. While Raw’s absence from โคthe โtop 10 doesn’t promptly signal trouble, continued exclusion coudl influence future content deals and programming decisions.
The November 24th episode of Raw missed the โฃrankings as all five seasons of Stranger Things occupied positions within the top 10. Season 5 โขgarnered nearlyโค 60 million views, โคwith the โคpreceding seasons also experiencing a surge in โฃviewership as โfans โre-watchedโค the series. A show needed at least 3.96 million views globally to break into the top 10 โขthis โขweek.
Forโค context, the November 17 episode of Raw achieved 3.1 million โคviews -โฃ its highest number โคin seven months. Dueโ to falling outside the top tier, Netflix has โฃnot publicly released โฃviewership data for โขthe November 24 episode.
Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer clarified the situation, stating, “Because of the debut of โฃ Stranger Things and its multipleโ episodes, Raw last Monday 11/24 was not in the top ten among English TV shows for theโ first time. soโ no numbersโค at all are available nor will they be until likely January for this past week. The No. 10 show did 3,962,000 worldwide views, far more than Rawโ ever does, so โขthis is not an โคindication at โall that Raw did a bad number.”
