The Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov said that serving subpoenas on the street is legal, since the Armed Forces of Ukraine need to make up for losses at the front, and there were many volunteers back in February-March 2022.

The minister stressed that military enlistment office workers are forced to issue subpoenas to men of military age on the street, since many of them do not live at the place of their registration and have not been registered at local recruiting centers.

“If they see a man of military age, alive and healthy, he is given a summons and he is obliged to appear. This does not mean that he will be mobilized tomorrow. He must show documents, there must be communication. draft, but I have some reservations, or I have 4 children. “Okay, come, show me everything,” Reznikov said.

The minister stressed that the majority of volunteers were in February-March 2022, but others should understand that mobilization is underway and if a man is fit for conscription, he should be ready to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“There are certain standards that are indicated there in terms of numbers, the General Staff knows them and we work in accordance with these standards. Systematic and planned work is underway, replenishment of supplies, recovery of losses, because our guys are dying, there are also wounded. But wow, something like that, as in Russia, no, we don’t have this,” Reznikov said.

Recall that on February 24, 2022, martial law and general mobilization were introduced in Ukraine. Also, in case of violation of the rules of military registration, men face administrative and criminal liability.
