Minister of BUMN Erick Thohir said the reason for removing it Budi Waseso as director Logistics is a reasonable rotation.
“There’s nothing wrong, rotation as usual,” said Erick after a working meeting with Commission VI DPR RI in Central Jakarta, Monday (4/12).
Erick said that his party really wanted to synergize Bulog with the National Food Agency (Bapanas) and the Ministry of Agriculture. That is what underlies the Buwas rotation.
“Later, it is also hoped that the Ministry of Finance and everyone will agree that Bulog will return as a stabilizer. Therefore, the current leader or chairman of the supervisory board (Dewas Bulog) is Mr. Arief (Head of Bapanas Arief Prasetyo Adi) and of course the new leader is Mr. Bayu (Main Director of Bulog Bayu Krisnamurthi) ,” he concluded.
Separately, Buwas admitted that he was removed while on a working visit to Aceh. This visit was in order to review the availability of rice in the Aceh Besar Regency storage warehouse as well as taking part in the National Scout Conference in Banda Aceh.
According to him, his removal was because his term of service at Bulog had ended and this was also the authority of BUMN Minister Erick Thohir. After that, Buwas received the mandate to serve as President Commissioner of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk alias SIG.
“That’s normal (when replaced). I’ve been around for 5 years, my contract ended in April. But apparently it was extended and reappointed, that’s up to the Ministry of BUMN, if now I’m assigned to a new place, that’s normal,” said Buwas today after attending the Scout National Conference at the Balee Meuseuraya Aceh Building.
However, Buwas admitted that he did not know that he was suddenly appointed as main commissioner of PT Semen Indonesia through the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS). In fact, he didn’t know anything about the EGMS agenda because the authority was in Erick’s hands.
