Bulgarian Air Force Announces Low-Altitudeโ Flight Exercises Across Southern, Western, and Northernโค Bulgaria
Yambol, Bulgaria – The Bulgarian Air โForce has issued a public notice regarding low-altitude flight operations scheduled to take place across a wide swath of the country as partโ of Exercise ESE 25. Residents โin areas encompassing Cheshnegirovo, Chernogorovo,โ and โmountainous regions ofโข Northern Bulgaria can expect to observe aircraft flying at lower altitudes than usual.
Colonel Milen Dimitrov,commander of Bezmer Air Base,assured โcitizens there is no cause for alarm,stating,”There will โคbe aviation equipment โin the air. People should not worry, they are still teachings for โwhich they are informed. It willโ be normal when they perform their aircraft tasks, the populationโ to see planes in โขthe air.”
The exercises, which began this year with expanded international participation, focus on โenhancing interoperabilityโข and skillsets among pilots, engineers, and technicians โขoperating Spartan aircraft. โขBulgaria is fielding โfour C-295 โSpartan aircraft, platforms โคwith operational experience in Afghanistan, Iraq, โขMali, and during the recent COVID-19 pandemic for citizen evacuations.
this year’s โขESEโ 25 includes a Spanish casa C-295 โฃand welcomes greece as aโข full participant, while Slovenia is observing with plans to join โfully next year. According to Colonel Lazarin Lazarov, โCommander of the Doctrine and Hostile Base, the training โextends beyond flight โmaneuversโฃ to encompass thorough โaircraft preparation for diverse missions, including medical evacuation, troop transport, andโฃ combat equipment delivery.
Crews will be โpracticing tactical landings, troop and cargo โtransport,โข and air-medical evacuation procedures, primarily utilizing Bezmerโ and Cheshnegirovo airports.
