Ohio Flags to Fly โat Half-Staff Honoring Charlie Kirk and 9/11 Victims
COLUMBUS, OH – โฃOhio Governor Mike DeWine hasโ ordered flags at all public buildings throughout โthe state to โขbe flown โat half-staff, recognizing both the death of โconservative activist Charlie Kirk and the upcoming 23rd anniversary ofโ the September 11th terrorist โคattacks.
The orderโข to lower โflags in honorโข of Kirk, 31, the founder โof Turning Pointโ USA, will be in effect โขfrom September โ10th through โข6 โขp.m. on September 14th. Kirk was fatallyโฃ shot at Utah Valley University on September 7th while hostingโ his “Prove Me Wrong” event, โa forum for debates with students.The shooting has drawn condemnation from across the โpolitical spectrum.
In addition, flags will be lowered to half-staffโ from sunrise to sunset on September โ11th in remembrance of theโข victims of the 2001 terroristโ attacks. Governor DeWine is also requesting all Ohioans observe a โmoment of silence beginning at 8:46 a.m.on September 11th to honor those killed in โthe attacks.
