The move addresses a specialized positionโค for the Chargersโข following the 2024 season. โLong snappers are crucialโ to special teams play,โ handling both punts and field goal/extra point attempts. Bowden’s signing provides depth and competition atโฃ the position, possibly upgradingโฃ a key component of the โChargers’ special teamsโ unit. He finished the 2024 UFL season โwith the Panthers, demonstrating consistency and techniqueโข that caught the attention of NFLโค scouts. โฃ
Bowden played collegiately at Wake Forest, where โฃhe was a four-year letterman and a consistent presence onโ the demon Deacons’ special teams. โAfter going undraftedโ in the โค2023 NFL Draft, he joined โthe Michigan Panthers, quickly establishing himself as a reliable long snapper in the โฃUFL.
