But it was precisely on the set of this film released in 2022 that the actor allegedly abused his status with technicians, costume designers and other collaborators according to witnesses interviewed by the Mediapart website.
Jokes and tendentious gestures
A witness interviewed (and who requested anonymity like all the witnesses to the Mediapart investigation), notes that the comedian “is very tactile” with the young actors and that “he touches the abs or shoulders a lot to see if they are muscular”. According to another technician present on the set of Retirement home“It’s all about the ass, he constantly makes tendentious jokes, and it ends up being degrading, even humiliating for people.”
Others accuse the actor of racist remarks when, for example, he nicknames a young black actor “Kirikou” or tries jokes like “You have to turn quickly, otherwise we won’t see you anymore.” »
Contacted by Mediapart, Jarry did not wish to answer the journalists’ questions, preferring to send them this message “I hope to have you in my room one day to understand my quest to bring people together regardless of their gender, religion, skin color! Living together that gives meaning to life. Take sincere care of yourself.” The investigation by the investigative media does not report any complaints against the comedian.
