McDonald’s Customer โArrested after Throwing Hotโข Coffee at Employee in Saginaw
SAGINAW, MI โ- A Saginaw woman is facing charges after allegedly throwing aโข cupโค of hot โขcoffee โฃat a McDonald’s employee last week, an incident captured on video that quickly circulated online. The altercation stemmed from a dispute over a delayed online orderโ and a โsubsequent refund.
Casharra Brown, 48, became irate after being informed it could take up too 48 hours for a refund toโ appear in her account โขfor a burgerโฃ and coffee โขorder she placed thru the McDonald’s app. According to police โand reports from Fox News and the New York Post, brown had complained about waiting over an โhour for her food. While a refund was offered, an employee suggested only charging her for the already-prepared coffee. This sparked aโข heated exchange, culminating in the assault.
The employee was reportedly leaving the counter when Brown removed the lid from her coffee cup and threw the contents onto the woman’s back, yelling “Here’s yourโ coffee,” and adding anโข unpublishable insult. The employee sustained minor burns.
“We receivedโข about a hundred โคtips,” statedโฃ Detectiveโ Russ Phassen of the Saginaw Police Department,according to The New york Post. “We โidentified her within two hours,” addingโ that Brown lives just three blocks from the restaurant.โข
Brown has been taken into โcustody and charges are pending. โขThe incident highlights the increasing frequency of confrontations between customers and service industry โขworkers, often fueled by frustration over service delays or perceived errors.
