Disruptions Affecting S80 Train Services Prompt Alternative Travel Options
Passengers relying on the S80 train line between Budapest and Gödöllő are currently being accommodated by replacement bus services. This change is in effect due to ongoing disruptions on the S80 route.
In response to the rail service interruptions, the Budapest Transport Center (BKK) has announced that rail tickets will be accepted on several alternative public transport routes. specifically, tickets will be valid on the M2 Metro line, the H8 HÉV suburban railway, and Bus 169E. These alternative services will extend their coverage to include Rákos station for the duration of the disruption.
Furthermore, rail tickets are also being honored on parallel Volán bus services throughout the period of the disruption, providing additional travel adaptability for affected passengers.
Separately, passengers on certain Tokaj InterCity (IC) trains originating from Keleti Railway Station and bound for Nyíregyháza are experiencing delays. those affected by these delays will be able to board the next available IC service from Nyíregyháza to continue their journey.
