Petriolo Celebratesโ Autumn with “Lu Pruรฌ’ de Sa’ Mmartรฌ'” Festival
Petriolo (Macerata),โค November 6, 2024 โฃ – The seventh edition of “Lu โPruรฌ’ de Sa’ Mmartรฌ'” kicks off this weekend in Petriolo’sโข Piazza Umberto I, aโค vibrant โขcelebration โof the town’s patron โsaint, San Martino, and the arrival of autumn. Organizedโ by ProPetrioloโ 2000 (“Le โCantinette”) โขwith the support of the Municipality and collaborations with Orastrana and Genitori Petriolo, the festivalโค promises a weekend filled with conventional flavors,โข lively music, and community spirit.
Attendeesโ can look forwardโ to indulging in seasonal delights like roastedโฃ chestnuts, warming mulled wine, grilled meats, and local desserts. The musical lineup is a major draw, beginningโข Saturday evening with the energetic performance ofโข “Oh my Trio!” – featuring Lorenzo Girelli, Mauro Rosati, and Luca Cingolani – whoโ will perform a mix of Italian โคandโข international classicsโฃ designed โto get everyone dancing. Following them, eclectic DJ and sound artist โNooZ (Ugo Torresi) will take โคthe stage, bringingโ his โtwo decades of experience performing in diverse venues โacross the Marche region.
Sunday’s programme blends tradition and entertainment. The day begins with a solemnโค procession and mass at the Shrine, โhonoring thoseโข lost in war. Afterwards, visitors can savor “lu cuticรนsu,” a hearty broad beanโฃ soup traditional to โPetriolo in November, at the headquarters of the Fighters and Veterans Association starting at midday. โฃโค A children’sโ autumn workshop, organized by the Petriolo Parents group, will take place in the โsquare at 3pm.
Theโค festival also includes the presentation of a new seriesโ of limited-edition postcards commemorating the โขfifth centenary of the Madonna โdella Misericordia of โฃPetriolo’s โarrival,available for purchase onโ site at 5pm. Throughoutโ the weekend, โthe renowned stornellatori โฃ of Petriolo will entertain โwith their improvisational verses in the local dialect. The festivities culminate Sunday evening with a DJ set by Diโค Sciamano, promising a vibrant atmosphere.
Leading up to โฃthe event,โ Orastrana released a video clip featuring a song with poetic dialect lyrics by Carlo Natali, performed by Simone acciarresi and Elia Salvucci alongside members of the pro โLoco, further building anticipation โขfor thisโ autumnal celebration of music, food, and community.
