Federal Drug Fugitive Apprehended in Cleveland
CLEVELAND, Ohio (Octoberโ 25, 2025) – A man wanted on federal drug โฃcharges stemming from West Virginia was arrested inโฃ Cleveland Friday morning by the U.S. Marshals โServiceโข and the Northernโ Ohio Violentโฃ Fugitive Task Force โฃ(NOVFTF).
Terrell Sparks,29,was taken into custody after authorities located him โคhiding in the โฃattic of a residenceโฃ in the 8300 block of Medina Avenue. Sparks was initially sought by the โขCuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department for a probation violationโฃ related โto prior charges of aggravatedโ burglary and โassault.
though, the primary charges driving theโ search originated in West Virginia, where Sparks is facing federal accusations of conspiracy to distribute andโค possess with intent to distribute cocaine base, โฃheroin,โ and โขfentanyl. He isโ also chargedโฃ with distributing cocaine baseโ within 1,000 feet of a protected โlocation.
Investigators began tracking Sparks in August, suspecting he โขhad fledโ West Virginia โขfor theโ Cleveland area.During the search, Sparks evaded law enforcement on two occasions, once inโ a vehicle and another time on foot.He was recently featured as the “Fugitive of the Week” in a public appeal for information.
Sparks will remain in local custody pendingโ extradition to West Virginia to faceโ theโฃ federal charges.
