Bankruptcy โLawyer Mark Zuckerberg sues Meta, Claims Repeated โAccount Suspensions Cost Him Clients & Funds
Indianapolis,โข IN – A bankruptcy lawyer named Mark Zuckerberg is suing Meta, FacebookS parent company, alleging repeated adn wrongful suspensionโฃ of his verified account due to โขmistaken identity. The lawyer, who shares a name with Meta’s CEO, claims the platform consistently flagsโ him for “impersonatingโฃ a celebrity,” despite using his legalโข name.
For over 15 years, Zuckerberg has battled with Facebook (now Meta) โover the issue, repeatedly having his accounts suspended and reinstated. Heโค states the ongoing problem has resulted in lost clients and important financial losses. “It’s not funny,” Zuckerberg told Indianapolis-based 13WTHR. “Not when they โtake my money. This really pissed me off.” He further emphasized, “And using a false name! which I’ve had way longer then he has.”
The lawsuit, recently filed, stemsโ from a โmay incident where Zuckerberg’s firm’s business page was removed, resulting in a โคloss of $11,000 in advertising โrevenue. Whileโ Meta has โฃpreviously issued โapologies via email for past suspensions, the issue persists. Zuckerberg explained he diligently โฃfollows theโข platform’s appeal process, โคbut oftenโ receives no response for extended periods – sometimes exceeding six months for account reinstatement.
“I did everything they asked me to do, like I always โdo,” Zuckerberg โsaid. “I filed the โproper appealsโฆand I’ve heard nothing from them and it’s been four months.” He expressed frustration with Meta’s technological capabilities, questioning,”For somebody who purports to beโ one of the leading tech companies in the world, and they โcan’t stop โdoing this? And they can’t seem toโ get their โappeal process to work? I think they have a โฃproblem.”
The lawsuit demands Meta permanently restore his accountโ and โคseeks reimbursement for lost advertising funds and attorneyโ fees. Zuckerberg believes he has a strong case, despiteโข Meta’sโ vast resources. Heโ stated he initially avoided legal โฃaction, preferring to resolve theโข issue directly with the company, but felt compelled โto sue after repeated failures to achieve a lasting solution.
