‘Mandalorian‘ and Grogu Film Trailer Arrives, Targeting May 2026 Release
The first trailer for the upcoming Mandalorian and Grogu feature film has been released, offering a glimpse into the continuing adventures of the bounty hunter and his young protรฉgรฉ. Originally announced two years ago, the film is currently slated for release in Hungarian cinemas in May 2026, according to Variety.
The movie will follow the story established in the Mandalorian series,set after the fall of the Galactic Empire,where the lone mercenary travels with Grogu,a member of the Galaxy’s Master species. The film will expand upon their journey,introducing new characters including Sigourney Weaver as a combat pilot and Jeremy Allen White as the son of Jabba the Hutt. The Mandalorian series itself was lauded for revitalizing the Star Wars franchise on Disney+, following a period of numerous announced films that ultimately shifted to exclusive streaming releases. Jon Favreau is directing the film, with Kathleen Kennedy producing – though she is expected to depart lucasfilm at the end of the year.
