Camarillo, CA – The FBI is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of a suspect accused of pointing a firearm-and perhaps firing it-at federal law enforcement officers during a July 10 raid on a large cannabis farm in Camarillo, California. The incident occurred during a Homeland Security examination targeting alleged labor trafficking and illegal employment practices.
The reward seeks to identify an individual whose actions escalated tensions during a complex operation involving multiple federal agencies at a facility operated by Glass House Farms, a major player in California’s legal cannabis industry. The investigation and subsequent search sparked protests, and the FBI is now focused on locating the person believed to have directly threatened officers. Federal authorities have already indicted Jonathan caravello, 37, of Ventura, on a felony assault charge stemming from the raid. Caravello is accused of picking up a tear gas canister deployed by officers and throwing it back at them. he was initially charged with a misdemeanor,but the case was presented to a grand jury,resulting in the felony indictment.
The July 10 raid involved multiple agencies investigating potential violations related to the employment of workers at the cannabis farm. Four U.S.citizens were arrested on suspicion of assaulting or resisting officers during the operation, according to Homeland Security.
