VILLA DEL ROSARIO, Colombia – Josรฉ Alexander Sierra, the administrator of an advertising โbillboard along the โInternational Highway in Villa del Rosario, Colombia, reported receiving death threats Saturday following his removal of โa โposter offering rewards for the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolรกs Maduro and Diosdado Cabello, a prominent figure in the Venezuelan goverment.
Sierra, who manages the advertising space in the Norte de Santander department, detailed โthe intimidation in statements to NTN24, asserting the threats stemmed from an act he โฃcarried out under the direction of local authorities.
“This situationโฆ โIt is directly affecting me โคand my family,” Sierra stated, expressing fear for his safety and thatโข of his family.
Sierra emphasized that he did not authorizeโข theโข placement of โthe advertisement and was instructed by the Mayor’s Office to remove it due toโข its unauthorized installation. He further clarified that heโ has no involvementโ in the poster’s original placement โขand has filed a formal complaint wiht authorities requesting โคprotection for himself andโข his family.
