Apple’s upcoming Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) is just around the corner, and rumors about what products and updates the tech giant has in store are rampant. The Mac Pro with Apple silicon is not anticipated to be announced at WWDC 2023, according to insights from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. Gurman also stated that the upcoming Mac Studio will not feature M2-series chips and may not receive a refresh until the M3 generation, to avoid competition with the new Mac Pro. Additionally, he revealed that the 15-inch MacBook Air, which is set to receive an M2 chip, was originally planned for a 2022 launch, while the M3 chip update for the 13-inch MacBook Air’s timing is unknown. Gurman elaborated on Apple’s plans for its in-air typing text input method for its mixed-reality headset, stating that, despite its “finicky” nature, it will likely feature on the headset when released, accompanied by a two-hour battery life, which may stay consistent over successive generations of the product.


While the news of a delay in the release of the Apple Silicon Mac Pro and Mac Studio refresh is disappointing for many Apple enthusiasts, it’s important to remember that these updates are highly anticipated and will undoubtedly be worth the wait.
