TimesApps Introduces New Features for Enhanced User Experience
TimesApps has rolled out a series of updates designed to improve user engagement and campaign tracking across its platforms.The new features include enhanced integration with Google and Facebook advertising platforms, as well as the implementation of the Survicate customer feedback tool.
These updates are part of TimesApps’ ongoing commitment to providing a seamless and data-driven experience for its users. The integration with Google and Facebook aims to optimize advertising efforts by leveraging campaign data more effectively. The Survicate tool will allow TimesApps to gather valuable user feedback directly, enabling continuous advancement of its services.
The new functionalities are being deployed in a phased manner. For users who are not identified as prime subscribers, the system will automatically load the Google and Facebook event tracking and the Survicate JavaScript, provided the relevant settings are active in the `toiplus_site_settings`. This ensures that all users benefit from the enhanced tracking and feedback mechanisms.
in cases where the `toiplus_site_settings` are not readily available or if the user is a prime subscriber, TimesApps will retrieve the necessary configuration from a dedicated API endpoint. This dynamic approach ensures that the features are activated based on the user’s status and the availability of configuration data. The Survicate integration is designed to be robust, with a fallback mechanism in place. If the Survicate object and its `setVisitorTraits` method are not instantly available upon script loading, an event listener for “SurvicateReady” will be established. This ensures that user traits,such as subscription status and geolocation,are correctly set once the Survicate platform is fully initialized. The Survicate script itself is loaded asynchronously from `https://survey.survicate.com/workspaces/0be6ae9845d14a7c8ff08a7a00bd9b21/web_surveys.js` to minimize any impact on page load times.
