Jakarta –

Product Oilita rare on the market. The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan also opened his voice regarding the subsidized cooking oil product.

Luhut emphasized that currently the Food Task Force will take action against those who do the hoarding.

“The Food Task Force will act, that is our order and later if someone is playing around we will close it down,” Luhut said after a coordination meeting at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Wednesday (8/2/2023).

Apart from that, according to Luhut, the government also conducts weekly evaluations regarding Oilita.

Previously, the government and cooking oil producers had agreed on an additional 50% supply to face Eid 2023. This agreement was hammered out at a coordinator’s meeting at his office with relevant ministries and agencies (K/L) and cooking oil producers.

“I held a coordination meeting today with ministries/agencies related to cooking oil producers. We agreed to increase the supply of DMO by cooking oil producers by 50% until we enter the Eid,” Luhut said in a statement on the official Instagram @luhut.pandjaitan, quoted Monday. (6/2/2023).

Currently, the export rights of producers who have fulfilled the domestic market obligation (DMO) are also kept in advance. According to Luhut, the export rights are kept and will be issued if the situation stabilizes, especially the price of cooking oil.

“For entrepreneurs, the government will also increase the export incentives for the Oilita multiplier so that the Oilita supply is maintained,” said Luhut.

Jakarta –

Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan has met the Russian economy minister. During the meeting, Luhut questioned the offer to buy oil given to Indonesia.

Luhut admitted that he had gone to Russia to process oil purchases from that country.

“I came from the minister of economy from Russia, he talked a lot. Then I asked, ‘Hey, are you making offers like this? Mention that all, Mrs. Nicke,” said Luhut at the Saratoga Investment Summit 2023 in Jakarta, Thursday (26/1/2023).

The event was also attended by the Main Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Nicke Widyawati. However, none of these offers materialized. Luhut admitted that he visited Russia in August 2022.

“He said, which one did you offer yourself, none of the 5 months didn’t happen. We went in August,” he said.

Again, Luhut asked about Russia’s offer. The Russian minister said that his party had difficulties where the point was that what was being offered was made so that it would not be realized.

“I said what did you offer? We are concrete. He said, sorry Mrs. Nicke, this is Rachmat who is close by. ‘We are having trouble at Pertamina, turning left, turning right, here and there. The point is so that it doesn’t happen,” said Luhut.

Luhut also asked Nicke to check this matter. Luhut himself has reported this matter to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

“So Mrs. Nicke please check, I reported it to the president,” he said.

We Accept, but Never Disturb Indonesia’s Economic Growth

by Chief editor of world-today-news.com January 20, 2023
written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan stated that he received input from the Special Envoy of the President of the United States for Climate John Kerry in the middle of the World Economic Forum (WEF) event in Davos, Switzerland.

Even though he did not explain in detail what Kerry conveyed, Luhut said his party was open to this input. However, he stressed, not to disrupt the Indonesian economy.

“I also want to tell a little about the results of discussions with colleagues from the United States, John Kerry yesterday morning. They conveyed some input, then I replied that we are open to all suggestions and suggestions from colleagues and friends, we are happy to receive input,” he said in video uploaded on Instagram @luhut.pandjaitan, Friday (20/1/2023).

“However, one thing you must pay attention to, is never to interfere Indonesian economic growth. Creating broad job opportunities for the Indonesian people is absolute and I’m sure other ASEAN countries also share the same opinion,” he continued.

Luhut Indonesia currently holds the leadership of ASEAN and carries the theme “ASEAN Matters: Epicentrum of Growth”, which is in line with Indonesia’s achievements in holding the G20 Presidency in 2022.

Even though the situation in Ukraine is still uncertain, said Luhut, Indonesia with a population of 282 million people can still overcome the global economic turmoil. This is evidenced by economic growth of 5.3 percent and exports worth US$293 billion last year, bigger than in 2021 which was only US$232 billion.

“Not to mention the US$71 billion bilateral investment commitment that Indonesia received from the 2022 G20 Summit, further increasing trust both from within the country and the international world. Although several ASEAN member countries have their own national interests, we also encourage cohesiveness and solidarity among ASEAN countries, even though this is not easy. However, this is the real challenge,” said Luhut.

Like the holding of the 2022 G20 Summit in Bali in November last year. At first, continued Luhut, many were pessimistic about the implementation and results. Breaking the pessimistic perception, Indonesia managed to turn it into success.

“If the G20 Summit can be held successfully and won praise from all countries, then the 2023 ASEAN Summit can also repeat the same success,” he concluded.

Jakarta –

After returning to Indonesia from London, England, Chairman of NasDem, Surya Palo gather members of the NasDem Faction in the DPR RI. Several things were conveyed, in particular regarding support for Joko Widodo’s government.

The meeting was held at the NasDem Tower, Jalan Gondangdia, Central Jakarta, Monday (16/1/2023). The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairperson of the NasDem Party Ahmad Ali, MPR Deputy Chairperson Lestari Moerdijat, DPR Deputy Speaker Rahmat Gobel, NasDem Faction Chair Robert Rouw, Fraction Secretary Saan Mustopa and other members of the DPR.

“What was discussed were various actual issues, including developments from external and internal parties,” said Charles in his written statement.

Charles admitted, homeland politics continues to develop. Because of that, it requires good communication between the DPP and the NasDem Fraction to get in tune.

“The faction is an extension of the party, so it must have one command,” explained Charles.

In addition, the member of the DPR’s Commission XI revealed various messages from Surya Paloh to all members of the NasDem faction. One of the most important things is continuing to fully support the Jokowi and Ma’ruf Amin governments.

“Pak Surya emphasized his full support for Jokowi and Ma’ruf Amin’s government until it is finished and ordered all members of the NasDem faction to do the same (support the government) in the Commission and other AKD (Completeness of the Board),” he explained.

The various work programs of the Jokowi government which are good for the welfare and prosperity of the people must continue to be supported by the NasDem Fraction.

“We must support government programs, especially in strengthening the democratic system in Indonesia,” he said.

Surya Paloh, according to Charles, advised the NasDem faction to fight for the 2024 election system to use open proportionality because it is more democratic and fair for the people.

“Pak Surya continues to fully support the open proportional system and rejects the closed proportional system,” he said.

The story behind meeting Surya Paloh and Luhut in Europe

by Chief editor of world-today-news.com January 14, 2023
written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com
Jakarta –

Chairman of the NasDem Party Surya Palo had a meeting with the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan. The meeting took place in Europe. What did the two discuss?

The meeting between Paloh and Luhut

The moment when Surya Paloh and Luhut met was revealed by NasDem Party politician Peter F Gontha. Peter uploaded this moment on his Instagram account, Friday (13/1/2023). During the meeting, Surya Paloh was seen wearing an all-black suit while Luhut wore a dark suit. The two of them seemed to be chatting about something.

In another photo, Peter Gontha sits next to Luhut while Surya Paloh sits across from Luhut, separated only by a table filled with food and drinks. From the window, the sky looks dark.

Peter Gontha called Surya Paloh and Luhut true nationalists, although they differed over the matter of the successor to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) in 2024. It is known that Surya Paloh has declared Anies Baswedan as his party in 2024.

“On December 13, 2022, there was also a meeting between LBP and SP in Europe. Both of them are true nationalists, although they have different views on who should be the successor to the government after President Joko Widodo,” said Peter Gontha.

Peter Gontha said Surya Paloh and Luhut did not want Indonesia to fall into the trap of left or right extremism. Both of them, he said, upheld Pancasila, not just their words but their behavior and views.

“It’s just that their approach is different, but the goal is the same. Both of them sincerely want stability to be maintained, even though they have different ‘champions’,” said Peter.

The man who now has a career at the NasDem Expert Council said that differences of opinion are normal and he supports that the integrity of the nation is guaranteed. Regarding the puzzle of who is the leader of 2024, Peter said that let time answer it.

“Keep moving forward, the leaders of the nation, let time decide who the people choose. But whoever is elected, both LBP and SP must protect the integrity of our nation, that is my hope,” said Peter.

Jakarta –

The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan has not been able to say much about investment Tesla in the Motherland. However, Luhut ensured that the talks were still ongoing.

Luhut said that his party was bound by a Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) or confidentiality agreement so he could not say much.

“Our Tesla has an NDA, so we can’t open it, but what I can confirm is that we are still talking to Tesla,” he said at the GBK Complex, Jakarta, Friday (13/1/2023).

Luhut also could not say much about the possibility of investing in Tesla. Again, he stressed that his party was still in talks with Tesla and would continue next week.

“(How close is the possibility?) I don’t want to, but yes, the point is we were still talking yesterday, next week we will still be talking again,” he said.

On that occasion, Luhut said, both the government and Tesla were interested in this investment. “Yes, they are interested, we are interested,” he said.

Previously, a report said Tesla would soon set up an electric car factory in Indonesia. The CEO Elon Musk immediately responded to the news.

In his reply to a Twitter user’s tweet, Elon Musk asked to be careful with articles that mention anonymous sources. Such sources are judged to be often wrong.

“Please be careful writing articles that cite ‘unnamed sources,’ as they are often wrong,” Elon Musk tweeted.

Previously in a Bloomberg report, according to an unnamed source Tesla is close to a preliminary agreement on building a factory in Indonesia. The production facility will reportedly have a capacity of 1 million cars per year.
