Berlin – German pop group No Angels has released a new song, “I Stillโ Believe,” as the anthem for this year’s RTL telethon, a major โฃcharity event raising funds for children โin need. This marks the No Angels’ first new release since 2021.
The band-comprising Vanessa Petruo, Jessica Wahls, Sandy Mรถlling, Lucy Diakovska, โand โNadja Benaissa-aims to sendโข a message of hope โฃand draw attentionโ to the โฃplight of โฃchildren worldwide.
“In this day and age,โข it is indeed impossible to overlook theโฃ terribleโฃ eventsโ takingโ placeโ around โขthe world. Be it โin Gaza or Ukraine orโค elsewhere.Children everywhere are suffering immeasurably,” said Sandy Mรถlling. “We must not close ourโ eyes โto this.”
Nadja Benaissa added, “I hope that the song comforts people, gives them strengthโข and โฃmakes them feel understood.”
Theโฃ song evoked โคnostalgic feelings โคfor the group,reminiscent of their 2000 breakthrough hit,”Daylight in your Eyes.” “We felt like we โdid 25 years ago with ‘Daylight in your Eyes’. Each of us โcan identify so much with the song,” โreported Lucy Diakovska. The No Angels rose โto prominence after winning the talent โshow “Popstars” in 2000.
Theโฃ RTL telethon begins November 20th at 6 โขp.m., and will be hosted by Wolfram Kons. The No Angels will perform the songโฃ live โin โฃthe studio during the broadcast.
