Little League World Series

Bristol, Conn. – Montgomery County Little League (MCLL) of Maryland defeated Washington, D.C.’s Capital hill Little League 12-5 on Monday, July 29, 2025, in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament, keeping their Little League World Series dreams alive. The game was played at the A. Bartlett giamatti Training Centre in Bristol, Connecticut.

MCLL, representing Maryland after winning the state championship on July 25th against berlin, Maryland, at West Salisbury Little League, quickly established a commanding lead, jumping to 6-0 early in the contest. Key offensive contributors included shortstop Ethan Ramirez,who went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs,and center fielder Noah Chen,who added a home run in the 5th inning.

The Montgomery County team, nicknamed the “Wolfpack,” now advances to the regional semifinals on Thursday, July 31st. They will face the winner of the Tuesday morning game between pennsylvania and Delaware. The semifinal game is scheduled for 3:00 PM EDT at the Giamatti Training Center.

MCLL suffered a 7-2 loss to Pennsylvania in their tournament opener on Sunday, July 27th, meaning they must win two consecutive games to reach the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, scheduled for August 15-24, 2025. The Mid-atlantic Regional Champion will represent the region at the World Series.

Capital Hill Little League, managed by Coach David Miller, completed their tournament run with the loss. Their roster included players from the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, D.C., and represented the District of Columbia in the regional tournament.
