Levski Sofia’s European Run Drives €7.7 Million squad Value Increase
Sofia, Bulgaria – Despite failing to advance to teh group stage of the UEFA Conference League, Levski Sofia has seen a significant surge in the market value of its players, increasing by €7.7 million as the start of the season. According to data from Transfermarkt, the Bulgarian club’s squad is now valued at €29.10 million, up from €21.40 million in July.
The valuation jump comes after Levski’s eight european matches this season, which included victories over Apoel Beer Sheva and Sabah, and competitive performances against Braga and AZ Alkmaar. While the team ultimately did not qualify for the tournament phase, the exposure and performances have demonstrably boosted the individual worth of players, impacting the club’s overall financial standing and potential for future transfers. This increase in value represents a 36% rise and positions the average Levski player at an estimated €1.16 million.
More than half of the 25-man squad – 14 players – have experienced an increase in their market value. Leading the charge is defender Marin Petkov, whose value has risen by €500,000 to €3.5 million.
Left-wing back Maikon has seen the most considerable growth, doubling his value to €2.5 million. Rounding out the top five most valuable players are Christian makun, Christian Dimitrov, and Svetoslav Vutsov. The increased valuations reflect not only individual player performance but also the growing recognition of Levski Sofia within the European football landscape.
