Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Martin advanced to the semifinals Malaysia Masters 2023 after eliminating Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik from Malaysia at the Axiata Arena, Friday (26/5) evening WIB.

Leo/Daniel’s victory was achieved through a tense struggle for 52 minutes. The Indonesian doubles finally managed to secure a ticket to the semifinals thanks to the victory in two straight games 21-18 21-19.

Leo/Daniel managed to win 11-9 through a fierce battle in the first game interval. Malaysia’s double punch, which was deliberately left out by Daniel, closed Indonesia’s lead until the break.

Pressure after pressure put on by Leo/Daniel was able to make Aaron/Soh quite a hassle. An error from Aaron Chia made the Indonesian doubles lead three points 18-15.

Then Daniel Chia’s excellent net game failed to be returned perfectly by Aaron Chia and forced the score to change 19-16 in favor of the Indonesian pair.

Indonesian men’s doubles Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin lost dramatically in the round of 32 at the 2023 Badminton Asia Championships to Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik after playing a rubber game on Thursday (27/4) early morning WIB.

Leo/Daniel lost 21-19, 19-21, 20-22 to Aaron/Soh in a battle that lasted one hour on court two Sheikh Rashid Bin Hamdan Indoor Hall, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Aaron/Soh immediately stepped on the gas at the start of the first game. The Malaysian pair were able to win 8-4 over Leo/Daniel at the start of the first game.

Aaron/Soh keep putting Leo/Daniel under pressure. As a result, Leo/Daniel had to admit Aaron/Soh’s advantage with a score of 7-11 during the first game interval.
