Leo High School Choir Reaches ‘America’s Got Talent‘ Finale
The Leo high School choir, a South Side Catholic school for boys,โ will compete in the finale of “America’s Got Talent” afterโฃ advancing through the live semifinals โขon Tuesday night, โSeptember 10, 2025. โฃThe โchoir was among six acts moving forward based on public votes, as โannouncedโข Wednesday night in an โขInstagram โpost from the show.
The choir’sโค semifinal performance featured โa rendition of Fall Out Boy’s “Centuries.” Judges praised the group’s growth โขandโ impact.”You guys literally tear at my heartstrings as I โขcan โขsee how much this means โto youโฆโ That was brilliant. Brilliant,” said judge Mel B. โSofia Vergara โฃadded, “I thinkโ you guys make being in โa choirโค the most cool thing in the world. โฃI mean, Iโข forget you’re a choir,” while Simon Cowell โstated, “I think this act might beโ the act that has progressed the mostโฆ I just really, really, really, really like you.”
A $1 million grandโค prizeโ awaits โฃthe winner.
Prior to their national exposure โคon “AGT,” the โขchoir had established local recognition with performancesโข at the Democratic National Convention in the summerโ of 2024, Millennium Park’s Holiday Sing-Along in December โ2024, and a Black History Month event for the city of Chicago.โฃ Show scouts โฃdiscovered the choir through an Instagramโค video ofโฃ their singing, originally posted by CBS Chicago in early 2024.
The choir will perform a final time on the โ”America’s Got Talent” โคstage next week.
