mexico Cityโข – singer Christianโ Nodal โฃhasโฃ not been โexonerated in his legal dispute withโ Worldwideโ Music, the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) clarified today, despite a judge’s decisionโฃ not too link him or his โparents to criminal proceedings.โ The FGR emphasized that โthe ruling stems from a need to await the outcome of an ongoing civil dispute regarding โคownershipโ of music rights.
Aโค federal judgeโค persistent that โproceeding withโค theโข criminalโ case wouldโข be premature โuntil a civil court establishes โwho legitimately owns the rights in โquestion, effectively pausing the examination into potentialโฃ procedural fraud and copyright violation.
“Theโ procedure remains open, awaitingโ that result,” the FGR stated in a release. “Both Christian ‘N’ and the complainants can provide โthe FGR with the evidence thayโ have in this regard.”
The decisionโ followed a marathon โ17-hour hearing. Prior to the FGR’s clarification, Nodal’s โlegal teamโข celebrated theโค judge’s decision as a victory, arguing it demonstrated a lack of evidenceโค supporting Universal Music’sโข claims.
“It was a veryโฃ long dayโฆ We have been here for 17 hours. It was worth it. Weโค were โฃnot linked to the process,” Nodal stated as he leftโ the hearing with his parents, Cristy Nodalโ and Jaime Gonzรกlez.
The FGRโค maintainsโข that the judge’s decision is โคa procedural suspension, not an acquittal, and the case โwill remainโ open pendingโค the civil court’s ruling.
