Led Zeppelin‘s ‘Live‘ โEPโ Lands in Top 10, Marking First Newโ Chart Peak inโ a Decade
Led Zeppelin achieved a new topโ 10 โคon theโ Billboard Top Album โSales chartโข with the release of their Live EP, their thirteenth to โขdoโ so. The band has accumulated 22 appearances on the chart with slightly more than half โresulting inโข top 10 โrankings. This marks Led โคZeppelin’s first new top 10 albumโฃ in a decade, following The Complete BBC Sessions in october 2016, which peaked at No.โ 10 on the โvinyl roster.
While successful in album sales, Led โขZeppelin has only once topped โthe Top Album Salesโ tally, with How the West Was Won inโค 2003. The Live EP also returns the band to the upper โranksโข of the vinyl chart, a position they last held in August 2015 when Presence, In Through the Out Door, andโ Coda debuted at Nos. 2,โ 3, and 4,โข respectively.
The EP’sโ release on September 12 โcoincided with the fiftieth anniversary of Led Zeppelin’s Physical Graffiti, originally released in 1975. Both โa special โฃanniversary edition of Physical Graffiti and the Live EP were made available to fans.
The Live EP features four โtracks: “In My Time of Dying” and “Trampled Underfoot” recorded at Earls Court in 1975, and “Sick Again” and “Kashmir” captured at aโ 1979 show in Knebworth.โ
Beyond the โTop Album Sales chart, the EPโ debuted onโ three additional Billboard charts: โNo. 12 โon Top Hardโ Rock Albums, โคand No. 38 on topโ Rock & Option Albums. It also landed at No.150 on โขthe Billboard โข200, moving approximately 9,650 equivalent units, withโ minimal contribution from streaming or individual track sales.
