Orbรกn emphasized the effectiveness of V4 collaboration in the past, particularly during the tenures of former Prime Ministers Mateusz Morawiecki of Poland, Andrej Babiลก of Slovakia, and Robert Fico of Slovakia. He asserted that this Central European alliance served as a crucial counterbalance to the influence of France and Germany.

Diplomatic Tensions Escalate
Recent exchanges between the foreign ministers of Poland and Hungary have highlighted significant diplomatic friction. poland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Radosลaw Sikorski, accused Hungary of becoming “the poorest EU country” and suggested a potential threat of withdrawal from the European Union.
Hungarian Minister Pรฉter szijjรกrtรณ responded to Sikorski’s accusations, characterizing them as a “loss of common sense” and “war chasing.” Szijjรกrtรณ further alleged that Sikorski was lying and overstepping boundaries, which contributed to an escalation of tensions.
Szijjรกrtรณ also criticized what he termed “unfounded steps” by Polish diplomacy. In a reciprocal action following Poland’s summoning of the Hungarian ambassador, Warsaw saw its own ambassador recalled from Budapest.
