Cameroon News :: RAPID TRANSIT BUS IN THE CITY OF DOUALA: AN EXAMPLE OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT :: Cameroon news

In Douala we are used to saying: ”When Mbassa Dine says he does.” The city is launching BRT construction work by December 2023.

This week, the city of Douala released a press release inviting populations living along the BRT project route to register for compensation.

The energy deployed to put an end to the compensation testifies to the seriousness of the project owner, the first step before the start of the work. Estimated at 12 billion FCFA, this amount represents the state’s share of this project.

A project management that gets people talking because it is totally different from road projects which sometimes last an eternity in Cameroon and whose pretext most often put forward is the liberation of rights-of-way by local populations.

Valued at 335.3 billion FCFA, the BRT project benefited from a loan of 260.8 billion FCFA from the World Bank. Public-private partnerships mobilized 62.1 billion FCFA of the remaining envelope and the Cameroonian government contributed 12.4 billion FCFA.

Cameroon News :: Kidnapping avoided: The story of the 11-year-old student in Yaoundé :: Cameroon news

The 11-year-old student at La Retraite de Yaoundé college was to be executed by her captors who refused to obey the sponsor, a relative of the victim’s mother.

Nyom II. It is in this town bordering the Messassi and Emmana districts, in the district of Yaoundé I, that little Hillary Dalia Kouakep Waoutou was kidnapped on the afternoon of October 18. It must be said that the first intentions to kidnap Hillary cross the mind of Eric Martinien Fotso (sponsor) in 2022. Planning the operation will take him time, until August 11 when he will meet the young Herman Tchewe, to whom he will entrust the work.

“We met on August 11 at Sous Mangoier. I got into his car, he explained the whole plan to me and how I should do it. I remember, since 2022, he told me every day: if we ask you to do a job and we give you five million, will you accept? I always answered him. At the end, he gave me the sum of 20,000 CFA francs for my transport,” admits Herman (Implicated).

A week later, on August 17, 2023, the young Tchewe will take refuge in a house under construction on the road which leads to the home of the 11-year-old girl, a student in Form 2 A class, at the bilingual college La Retraite. The deal concluded between him and the sponsor, Martinien Fotso, is to kidnap the little girl for a sum of ten million CFA francs. And of this envelope, Herman should receive half. “The little one knows me very well. I worked on a construction site for his parents. Mr. Eric told me that on Wednesdays, the girl always comes home alone. That’s why I came the day before,” he says. Wednesday, October 18, in fact, little Hillary is taken on a motorcycle which will drop her off a few meters from the family home. Meanwhile, Herman is still waiting for his prey. “When I saw him coming down, I came out of my hiding place. She saw me and ran towards me. This is how I asked her to come with me to get some equipment and we had to go home,” adds the 23-year-old young man.

Kidnapping successful. ” His name is. I thought it was a joke. It’s when I call back and I hear my daughter’s voice that I start to panic,” confides the victim. The kidnapping will only last a few hours, since the victim will be found and released thanks to elements of the First Gendarmerie Region of the Center. “We ask parents to always take the time to accompany their children and pick them up at the end of school. It’s very important,” says Lieutenant-Colonel Awong Gérard. For the moment, nothing is filtered on the fate reserved for Hillary’s kidnappers. “It is at the end of the conclusions of the investigations that we will establish the responsibility of each person, as well as the method of prosecution,” declared Gaspard Mbabe, substitute for the government commissioner.

(Camer.be- Yaoundé) – The National Convention of the Movement for the Renaissance of Cameroon (MRC) will be held from December 9 to 10, 2023 at the Palais des Congrès in Yaoundé. Delegations are expected from across the country and even abroad.

For this Convention, Aïssatou Bouba Dalil, the National Secretary, Environment and Tourism, will be absent. It is through a post she made today on Facebook that she announces that she is banned from staying at the Cameroon.

“For those who hoped to see me in December and who were waiting for this moment of communion, I regret to tell you that I will not be in Cameroon for the 3rd Convention of our party, this because the CPDM regime has threatened to kill me. arrest and throw me in prison if I set foot there. Like many, I am therefore prohibited from staying in my native country, for having chosen to publicly assume my opposition in the colors of the MRC, alongside Professor Maurice Kamto. So I wouldn’t want to inflict this ordeal on my darling mother who doesn’t need it, nor on my chicks who still need me here. I will only set foot in Cameroon again the day the wind of the Renaissance begins to blow there, with Professor Maurice Kamto at the helm. »we can read on his Facebook page this Saturday October 28, 2023.

“For all those who asked me if I will come, know that it is a great ordeal to miss my party’s Convention, but it is only a postponement. But here, from where I am, I will continue to advertise it, obviously supporting the candidacy of our champion, for his re-election at the head of the MRC, MK, the ONLY one capable of keeping the boat afloat” she concluded.

Cameroon News :: Absence of major ministries in the fight against corruption: concern of CONAC in Cameroon :: Cameroon news

written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

In its annual report on the state of the fight against corruption in 2022, presented on October 27, 2023 in Yaoundé, the National Anti-Corruption Commission (Conac) revealed a major cause for concern. Despite the participation of 129 external contributions from control institutions, religious communities, civil society and ministries, CONAC noted the absence of essential contributions from four key ministries: the Ministry of Defense (Mindef), the Ministry of Territorial Administration, the Ministry of Domains, Cadastre and Land Affairs, as well as the Ministry of Secondary Education.

The president of CONAC, Reverend Dr Dieudonné Massi Gams, expressed his disappointment at this situation. He stressed that these ministries had not taken an active part in the fight against corruption, without providing explicit reasons for their absence. This state of affairs raises concerns about the commitment of these key ministries to the prevention and fight against corruption in Cameroon.

This situation is all the more worrying as corruption remains a persistent problem in many countries, compromising economic and social development. The participation of all stakeholders, including government ministries, is essential to effectively combat this scourge. CONAC hopes that these ministries will reassess their commitment to the fight against corruption and actively participate in this important mission.

Transparency and government accountability are key elements in reducing corruption, and it is essential that all ministries fully commit to this. CONAC will continue its efforts to raise awareness and mobilize the entire Cameroonian society in the fight against corruption, in the hope of seeing greater participation from ministries in the future.

Cameroon News :: Sextape: A police officer in the clutches of the executioner of the sub-prefect of Garoua

by Chief editor of world-today-news.com October 26, 2023
written by Chief editor of world-today-news.com

For several days, a video allegedly featuring the sub-prefect of Garoua – Boulai, Lom-et-Djerem department in Eastern Cameroon, in a virtual sexual relationship with a mixed-race woman, is shaking the web.

But, obviously, Jean Patrick ABENA is not the only victim of this cybercriminal who is probably a man, a Beninese (229, telephone code), but creates sextape scenes using the video of a beautiful mixed race woman. Since this morning, a new victim, Cameroonian, is on scene, with the same video of the mixed race, in an erotic scene: a police inspector. The scene is identical to that recorded during the virtual sex tape with the sub-prefect of Garoua – Boulai. Lying well, the mixed race woman, naked, but taking care to hide her face, “offers” the rest of her body to the police officer, playing in particular with her vagina whose hand makes incessant and erotic back and forth movements, all aided by an escape chest. At the end of the line, for a video call, the Cameroonian police inspector can no longer resist the moans of his “partner”, and does not hesitate to play the game, by taking out his sexual organ. And the ticket is validated: long live blackmail and harassment for the payment of ransoms, so as not to disclose the pornographic video!

According to his statement, the sub-prefect of Garoua – Boulai had been under blackmail since July. He talks about a “facial montage”, while verifications say that it is an authentic video, and that the civil administrator was tricked, and that he only has to be cautious in the future, rather than denying the obvious.

It is important to be very careful on social networks, with these cybercriminals who pose as women, and obtain nude videos of their victims, to then subject them to blackmail if the demanded ransoms are not paid. Beninese, Togolese and Ivorians are particularly involved in this criminal activity, which is very popular in French-speaking West Africa.
