Mannar (Alappuzha) ∙ A young photographer who suffered serious head injuries in an accident after jumping across the street while coming on his bike died after 12 years of suffering. Mathew K. Antony (37), son of MC Antony and Jacintha, died at Kanjirathin moot in Parumala Uzham. He was unconscious all these years.
On November 19, 2011, Mathew, who ran a studio in Parumala, was riding his bike home after work when he jumped across the street in Pandanad.
After an accident at the age of 25, Mathew was bedridden. He was treated in various private hospitals and Kottayam Medical College Hospital.
Even though he spent more than 50 lakh rupees and got 10 cents of land and house, which were family property, he underwent surgeries, but there was no result. Neighbors and friends got together and formed a relief fund and conducted treatment. For the last 4 years, he was living alternately in the hospital and at home. Culture was performed.
