Austria Defends European American Football Title with 27-0 Victory Over Finland
Austriaโข hasโ once again been crownedโ European champion in American football, defeating Finland 27-0 in Tuesday’sโข final held in Krefeld. โThis victory marks the second consecutiveโค European Championship for the Austrian team, having previously won the title in 2023 with a 28-0 win against โFinland in st. Pรถlten.
The team, coached by Max Sommer, secured their place in the final with a โข30-9 victory over host nation Germany โon Sunday, marking theirโ fourth European Championship final appearance in the association’s history.
“It was anโ incredibly lovely game, even though it โwas sloppy,” said head coach Sommer,โ visibly emotional afterโค the win. “Those were certainly the ten most beautiful football days I’ve ever experienced.
