Katturutthi (Kottayam) โ A young man, who was traveling with his wife and daughter, fell from the train and sustained serious injuries. Sajikumar fell out of the Kochuveli- Sriganganagar express train near the Manjoor flyover signal between Kurupanthara-Etumanur stations at 6.45 pm yesterday. Wife Anjusha (40) and daughter Adhaya S. Sajikumar boarded the train from Kayamkulam station to go to Ahmedabad along with Pillai (8).
After passing Etumanur station, he fell out of the train while going to the washroom. The train was halted near Kurupantara station after the wife, child and passengers raised a ruckus and pulled the chain.
Then railway employees, police and locals conducted a search for about one kilometer. Saji Kumar was found injured in the forest near the Manjoor flyover signal around 7:30. Sajikumar was then admitted to Kottayam Medical College Hospital.
He has serious head and body injuries. He was thrown from the train into a grassy forest and saved his life. Due to the accident, the Kochuveli โ Sriganganagar Express train was delayed for half an hour.

Kottayam: A holiday has been announced for schools in the district on Thursday.
