Xiaomi EV delivered over 20,000 vehicles in February 2026, according to a company announcement Sunday, as the Chinese Novel Year holiday and a production shift impacted output. The February figure follows a delivery of 39,002 vehicles in January, and a record 50,212 in December 2025.
The company has set an ambitious target of 550,000 vehicle deliveries for 2026, representing approximately a 34% increase over the 410,000 units delivered in 2025. Xiaomi surpassed its 2025 target ahead of schedule, reaching 350,000 deliveries in early December.
The YU7 SUV currently accounts for the vast majority of Xiaomi EV’s sales. The original SU7 sedan ended production in early February, with the company preparing for mass production of an updated SU7 model slated for release in April. Xiaomi founder, chairman, and CEO Lei Jun noted the shift in focus to the YU7 on the social media platform Weibo.
Cumulative deliveries since April 2024 have exceeded 600,000 units. In January 2026, the YU7 was the best-selling single EV model in China by retail sales, accounting for approximately 97% of Xiaomi’s monthly deliveries.
Xiaomi EV achieved its first quarterly profit in the third quarter of 2025, delivering 108,796 vehicles during that period. The company’s rapid growth has positioned it as a significant player in China’s new-energy vehicle (NEV) sector, competing directly with established brands like Tesla.
The YU7 SUV is positioned to compete with the Tesla Model Y in China’s mid-size SUV segment, while the SU7 sedan rivals the Tesla Model 3. Xiaomi’s delivery target for 2026 reflects its confidence in continued market demand and its ability to scale production.
Finalized delivery data for February is expected later this month from the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).
