Aucklander Ryan Fox is well-positioned after the third round of the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, while 13-year-aged Elise Barber concluded her debut at the Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific with a challenging final round.

Fox carded a three-under 69 at Pebble Beach Golf Links on Saturday, boosted by three birdies on the opening nine holes. A single bogey on the 10th was offset by a birdie at the par-five 14th, leaving him at 11-under par for the tournament. He currently shares 22nd place, eight strokes behind leader Akshay Bhatia of the USA, in the first of the PGA Tour’s $33 million signature events.

The Kiwi golfer will play alongside Americans Harris English and Max Greyserman in Sunday’s final round. Two-time major winner Collin Morikawa surged into contention with a remarkable 10-under 62, placing him in a tie for second, two shots behind Bhatia. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler also sits at 11-under par, alongside Fox.

Meanwhile, on the LIV Golf circuit in Adelaide, Kiwi Ben Campbell finished tied for 17th place, eleven strokes behind winner Anthony Kim.

At Royal Wellington Golf Club, Elise Barber, the youngest competitor in the Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific field, faced a difficult final day, posting an 11-over par round to finish at 15-over and tied for 44th. Barber, who earned a late invite to the championship, had previously won the Australian Junior Age Division Championship (Girls 11–12) and placed second in the New Zealand Women’s Stroke Play Championship in 2025.

Yunseo Yang of Korea secured the WAAP title, becoming the first Korean winner of the championship. Yang, who finished fourth at last year’s WAAP in Vietnam, stated, “I’m very proud to be the first Korean winner. Having the opportunity to play in three major championships is an honour.”

Barber’s participation in the WAAP followed a developmental period at the WAAP Academy in November 2025, where she trained alongside fellow Royal Wellington member Amy Yu and players from across the Pacific Islands region, receiving coaching in areas such as sport psychology and swing technique.
