Diplomat’s Mysterious Death: Labfor Results Pending, Police Promise Thorough Examination
Jakarta – The investigation into the mysterious death of a young diplomat, identified as ADP, continues as authorities await the results from the forensic laboratory (Labfor). Police have indicated that a comprehensive report will be released once all evidence has been synchronized and analyzed.
The Head of Public Relations for the Indonesian National Police, Inspector General Sandi nugroho, stated that the Labfor results are currently undergoing synchronization. “We are gathering all evidence to ascertain the actual facts. The Directorate of General Crimes will convey the findings later,” he explained. The police are reportedly scheduled to announce the Labfor results on Monday, July 28.
ADP’s body was discovered by a boarding house guard on Tuesday, August 7, at 8:30 AM Western Indonesian Time. The victim was found with his face covered in plastic and secured with yellow duct tape. Prior to his discovery, on the night of Monday, july 7, the victim had reportedly gone to the rooftop of the Ministry of foreign Affairs building. He was later found deceased in his boarding house located in Menteng.
Authorities have already interviewed the victim’s wife and colleagues, and also the boarding house guard, to gather information. The Jakarta Metropolitan Police have pledged to conduct a thorough investigation into ADP’s death, employing scientific criminal investigation methods.
