Falcons‘ ⁤Key⁤ Offensive Players Set to Play Against Patriots Despite Injury Concerns

Foxborough, MA – November 1, 2025 – teh Atlanta Falcons will have their starting quarterback‍ and top receiving threats available when⁤ they face the New England Patriots on Sunday, despite a week of injury questions. Michael‍ Penix jr., Drake London, Kyle Pitts, and Darnell Mooney were all removed from the injury report and are expected to play, according to updates ‌released Friday.

Penix was limited in the first two practices‍ of the week due to a bone bruise in his knee,but the second-year QB stated he was “trending in⁢ the⁣ right direction.”‌ He will make⁤ his seventh start of the‍ season.

London missed ‌Week 8⁣ with a hip injury but is set to return. The fourth-year receiver has 38 catches for 469 receiving yards and two touchdowns this season.

Pitts,⁣ a fifth-year tight end, was ⁣a⁤ full participant in Friday’s practice after being‌ limited earlier in the ‍week. He has 39 catches for 344 receiving yards and one‍ touchdown in all seven games this season.

mooney participated fully in both Thursday‌ and Friday’s practices. The veteran receiver recorded ⁢a season-high 68 receiving yards in Week 7.

The 3-4 Falcons ⁢will face the 6-2 ⁣Patriots ‌at⁣ 1 p.m. ET at Gillette stadium.

PHOENIX – U.S. Rep. David Schweikert announced Monday he will run for Arizona governor in 2026, setting‌ the stage for a competitive Republican primary. House Republicans Plan Bill to Mint Dollar Coin Honoring Slain Activist

WASHINGTON – A ‌bipartisan bill introduced in the House on Wednesday proposes placing the image of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk on circulating dollar coins, a move intended to honor his life ‌and legacy following his‍ fatal shooting earlier this month.

The “charlie Kirk Memorial coin Act,” sponsored by Rep.Andy Ogles, R-tenn., and co-sponsored by a growing number of house members, would direct the Treasury Department to mint and issue $1 coins bearing Kirk’s ‌likeness. Proceeds from the sale of the coins would benefit⁢ a scholarship fund ‌established in Kirk’s name to support young conservatives.

Kirk, 51, was fatally shot Sept. ⁢10 while⁣ speaking in front of a crowd ⁣of peopel at‌ Utah Valley University. Utah prosecutors are seeking the death penalty‍ against the suspect, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson. The shooting sparked widespread ⁣condemnation and a national conversation about political violence.

“Charlie ⁢Kirk was a powerful voice for conservative ‌principles and a dedicated advocate for the next generation of leaders,” Ogles said in ⁢a ‌statement.‌ “This coin will serve ⁤as ‍a⁣ lasting tribute to his life and a reminder of⁣ his unwavering commitment to freedom.”

The bill comes amid‍ a ⁤flurry of legislative and executive actions to honor Kirk. House Republicans passed a resolution ⁤on Sept. 19 honoring his life, condemning his assassination and urging Americans ⁣”to reject political violence.”‍ Democrats were divided on the resolution, with 95 voting in favor and 58 opposed. The Senate unanimously passed a resolution on Sept. 18 designating Oct. 14, 2025, as a “National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk.”

Sixteen House Republicans sent a letter to Speaker‌ Mike ‌Johnson asking for a monument to be built in the United states Capitol to honor Kirk, and President ‍Donald Trump has said he will ⁤award ⁤Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom posthumously. Overflow crowds attended Kirk’s memorial service ⁣in Arizona⁤ on Sept. 21, which Trump also attended and spoke at.

Rep. Ogles also introduced a ⁣resolution on Sept. 11 to award Kirk the ⁣Congressional Gold Medal.
