Title: MLB Non-Tenders: Rangers Drop Garcia, Heim Amidst Contract Deadline

by Alex Carter - Sports Editor November 22, 2025
written by Alex Carter - Sports Editor

MLB Non-Tender Decisions See Rangers Decline Options on ⁢Adolis García, Jonah Heim

In a surprising move signaling potential ⁤roster adjustments, the Texas⁢ Rangers ⁣declined to tender contracts to outfielder Adolis García and catcher ‌Jonah Heim on‍ Friday, making both players free agents. The decisions avoid arbitration salaries for ⁣the 2024 season but represent a significant shift ‌for key contributors ⁤to⁣ the Rangers’ recent World Series championship team.

Non-tender decisions occur when teams choose not to offer‌ arbitration-eligible players a contract by a league-mandated deadline. This allows teams to avoid potentially costly arbitration awards, but also means the players become instantly⁢ available to sign with ‍any club. For the Rangers, the moves create roster flexibility and financial space as they navigate the offseason, though they also relinquish⁢ control of two players who were integral to their postseason success.

Beyond the rangers, several other teams also made non-tender announcements. The⁤ Los Angeles Dodgers non-tendered reliever Evan phillips, currently recovering from ⁣june Tommy John surgery. The Pittsburgh Pirates released outfielders Alexander Canario and Ronny Simon,‍ along with‍ right-handers Colin Holderman and Dauri Moreta. San Francisco Giants left-hander Joey Lucchesi, who posted a 3.76 ERA in 38 innings, was also non-tendered, as were Cincinnati Reds ‌catcher ‍Will Banfield and right-handers Roddery Munoz and Carson Spiers.

Cleveland Guardians outfielder Will Brennan, recovering from Tommy John surgery,‍ and reliever Sam Hentges were also⁣ released. St.⁢ Louis Cardinals left-hander John King, right-hander ‍Sem Robberse, and catcher Yohel Pozo were non-tendered, alongside Kansas City Royals outfielder MJ Melendez ⁤(five hits in 60 at-bats) and reliever Taylor Clarke (3.25 ERA in 51 appearances). Veteran outfielder Mike Tauchman was released by ⁢the Chicago White ‍Sox, while‌ Baltimore Orioles swingman Albert Suárez, sidelined by a⁤ shoulder injury, was also non-tendered. The Los Angeles Angels released outfielder Gustavo Campero and catcher ⁤Sebastian Rivero, and the New york Yankees non-tendered right-handed relievers mark Leiter Jr., Jake Cousins, Scott effross, Ian‌ Hamilton, and ⁣Michael Arias.

Burger King’s “It’s Only Natural” Campaign Explained

by Dr. Michael Lee – Health Editor October 16, 2025
written by Dr. Michael Lee – Health Editor

Burger King’s New Campaign Features Kids Craving Whoppers, Highlighting Natural Ingredients

LONDON – Burger ⁤King’s latest advertising campaign, “Its only ⁣Natural,” ‍created by ⁤the Ingo agency, depicts babies and toddlers irresistibly drawn to their parents’ Whoppers and⁣ chips in authentic, unscripted moments. the campaign emphasizes the brand’s⁢ commitment‍ to natural ingredients with the tagline, “No artificial flavors, colors‍ or preservatives.”

the video features real families with no ⁢actors or dialog, showcasing children attempting to grab sandwiches and⁣ chips from their parents. Burger⁣ King aims ⁣to convey the idea ⁤that ⁢children instinctively⁢ desire what they see⁤ their parents enjoying.

This campaign builds on previous work, including ‌BBH’s “Bundles of Joy,” wich featured mothers enjoying a Whopper promptly after childbirth.⁢ Burger King continues to position itself by emphasizing transparency, imperfection, and authenticity, a strategy‌ also seen in the 2020 “Moldy Whopper” campaign which highlighted⁤ the absence of artificial preservatives ‍by showcasing a decaying burger bun.

The launch‍ of “It’s Only Natural” coincides with upcoming restrictions in the UK on junk food advertising to children, set to take ⁤effect in January. ⁤These ⁣regulations will limit advertisements for foods⁤ high in fat, salt, and sugar to after 9 p.m., raising ethical questions about the ⁣use of children‌ in advertising, even with adults as the primary target.

Burger King anticipates the ⁤campaign will generate discussion, similar to “Bundles of Joy,” with⁣ potential debate surrounding its portrayal of children‌ and fast food.

The Enduring Legacy of Pokémon

Pokémon, a global phenomenon born from ⁢the creativity of Satoshi Tajiri in 1996, has become arguably the⁢ most lucrative franchise in entertainment history. Tajiri’s childhood passion for⁤ insect collecting laid ⁤the foundation for a universe encompassing cartoons, video games, the trading card game (JCC), and a vast array of merchandise. It’s a cultural⁣ touchstone recognized worldwide, with Pikachu serving ⁤as⁤ its iconic mascot.

A Resurgent Passion,A Growing Problem

The original wave of Pokémon fans‍ – those⁢ who grew up with the franchise in the 1990s and 2000s -‌ are now young professionals with disposable income, fueling‍ a surprising resurgence in the popularity of Pokémon cards. however, in France, this renewed interest has been met with notable challenges. Finding Pokémon ‍cards in retail stores has become increasingly challenging.

king Toy Overwhelmed by Demand

Recent events at King Toy in Aix-en-Provence‍ highlight the severity of the situation. According to La Provence, the store⁣ was overwhelmed by Pokémon ⁤fans, ranging in age from 7 to 77, eager to obtain the highly sought-after cards. The incident underscores‍ the intense demand and limited availability.

Supply and Scalpers: The Root of the Problem

The primary drivers behind the shortage ‍are twofold: insufficient product supply and the activities of “scalpers.” These ⁢individuals purchase⁣ large quantities of cards solely to⁢ resell ‌them online at‍ inflated prices, ⁣capitalizing on the demand. The majority of these resales involve booster packs – sealed packages⁢ containing multiple cards – making⁢ it difficult for genuine collectors to acquire them through legitimate channels.

What Does the Future Hold?

The situation raises concerns about the accessibility of Pokémon cards for ‍dedicated fans. Without ‌addressing the supply chain issues and curbing the practices of scalpers, the current scarcity is likely to‌ persist, potentially ⁤diminishing‌ the enjoyment of the hobby for many.

It’s a wild time to be a Pokémon fan! Have you experienced the card shortage firsthand? We’d love to hear your stories in the ⁢comments below. If you found this article ⁣informative, please share it with your fellow Pokémon enthusiasts, and consider subscribing to World-Today-News.com for more breaking news and in-depth analysis.

LONDON – Prince Harry has stated his intention ‌to prioritize support ‍for his⁢ father, King Charles III, following the recent announcement of the⁢ monarch’s‍ cancer diagnosis. ⁣The Duke of⁤ Sussex, currently in the UK after a brief‌ visit for⁢ charity engagements, emphasized the importance of family during this challenging time.

Stephen King Apologizes for False Accusation About Charlie Kirk

Stephen King Apologizes for Spreading False details ⁣About Charlie Kirk‘s Death

WASHINGTON – Author Stephen King issued‌ a public ‍apology Friday for sharing inaccurate information⁤ on X (formerly Twitter) regarding the death of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk. King ‍initially posted, than deleted, a claim suggesting Kirk had been killed, later attributing his error to a⁤ lack of ⁣fact-checking.

The apology followed⁣ a flurry of criticism after King retweeted a post about Kirk’s alleged death, responding to it by calling the author of ‍the original post a “horrible, evil, twisted liar.” Kirk was not killed; the initial report was false. King subsequently acknowledged his mistake, stating, “The horrible, evil, twisted⁢ liar apologizes. This is what I get for reading something on Twitter (without) fact-checking. Won’t ‌happen again.”

Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas, responded to King’s initial post and later praised the author for apologizing and ⁤deleting the inaccurate information. “All of us – on⁣ both sides of the aisle – should treat each other with respect & decency, even if we disagree on politics,” Cruz wrote on X. “Charlie did ⁣that every day,‌ and I admired⁤ him for it.”

King offered‍ multiple apologies on X, including one responding to biologist Colin Wright, ⁤who warned that such “extreme rhetoric” could incite violence.

The incident occurred amid‌ heightened political tensions following ⁤the release of a video on Sept. 10 in which former President Donald Trump blamed “radical left” rhetoric for Kirk’s supposed slaying, claiming they were “directly responsible for the terrorism that we’re ⁣seeing in our country today.” TV host Jimmy Kimmel subsequently condemned Trump’s response, arguing it exacerbated division‍ rather than fostering unity.
