Makkah, โคsaudiโค Arabia – Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al โSaud has announced the launch of construction โfor ‘King Salman Gate,’ a large-scale, multi-use โคdevelopment project in Makkah, adjacent toโฃ AlMasjidโ AlHaram.
The project will cover an area of 12 million square meters โคand is intended to improveโค access toโ and services surrounding the Grand Mosque,โ supporting the objectives of the Congregation Experience Program.
‘King Salman Gate’ will include 50,000 residential units, 4 to โ5+ star hotels, over 200,000 square meters of retail space, and prayer facilities with a combined indoor and outdoor capacity โคof approximately 900,000. The development will also feature parking for around 30,000 โvehicles,managed โฃby a dedicated operational team.
The project isโ designedโฃ to โintegrate with public transportation and will incorporate the restoration and development of approximately 19,000 square metersโ of heritage sites,โข preserving Makkah’s cultural and historicalโฃ landmarks.
Developed by RUA AlHaram AlMakki Company, a subsidiary โof the Public Investment Fundโ (PIF), ‘King Salman Gate’ is expected โto generate over 300,000 jobs by 2036. The initiative โขaligns โขwith Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 plan to diversify itsโข economy away โfrom oil and โฃinvest inโ tourism and infrastructure, โขwith a national goal of welcoming 30 million worshippers annuallyโค by 2030.
